Happy Tails has come a long way since its initial one-room training facility. In March 2017, they expanded to their current location, a spacious 7,600-square-foot building situated on 1.5 acres of land. This expansion allowed them to create a dedicated training environment featuring four indoor training rooms and four outdoor fenced-in training areas, catering to a wider range of training needs and preferences.

Every detail of the Happy Tails facility reflects their commitment to dog health and safety. The expansive indoor training rooms provide ample space for dogs to learn and play comfortably. Two consultation rooms offer a private space for trainers to discuss training goals and answer any questions you may have. For outdoor training sessions, four securely fenced-in areas allow dogs to practice their skills in a safe and controlled environment. The facility comfortably accommodates up to 25 dogs for training and boarding.

At Happy Tails, your dog's health and safety are their top priorities. They've invested heavily in a fresh-air replacement system throughout the building, ensuring optimal air quality and reducing the risk of airborne illnesses spreading among the dogs. Strict vaccination protocols are in place, requiring all dogs entering the facility to be up-to-date on their shots. Additionally, dogs staying for boarding must provide proof of a clean stool sample to prevent the spread of parasites and worms.

Happy Tails understands the importance of maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. They've replaced the existing flooring with a full-chip epoxy material that prevents urine and water from seeping into the concrete. This innovative flooring solution not only helps prevent the spread of illness but also eliminates lingering unpleasant odors and is easy to clean, ensuring a fresh and comfortable space for all dogs.

The safety of your dog is paramount. The Happy Tails facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art automatic fire suppression system designed to extinguish or prevent the spread of fire without human intervention. Fire suppression walls, doors, and sprinklers are strategically placed throughout the building for added protection. For an extra layer of security, the facility is monitored 24/7 by a local fire company. In the unlikely event of smoke detection, the Shelby Township Fire Department, located just a quarter-mile away, will be immediately notified.

Happy Tails offers complete peace of mind with its comprehensive security system. The entire facility, both indoors and outdoors, is monitored by high-definition cameras that record all activity. This ensures constant vigilance and allows trainers to keep a watchful eye on the dogs. Additionally, the building is equipped with a sophisticated security system monitored off-site. Every door and window is secured with sensors, ensuring the safety of the dogs and the facility itself.

Happy Tails offers a variety of training programs to cater to the needs of dogs at all stages of development. From playful puppy preschool classes to private training sessions and resident training programs, they have a program designed to help your dog learn valuable skills and develop good behavior. Group classes are available for young dogs and resident graduates, providing a social learning environment where dogs can learn and interact with each other.
